Mermaid in a bowl

Hi everyone its been awhile since I have posted but it's Baseball season and that pretty much means tournaments every weekend. I wanted to share with you a cute card I made for Scrapbook Blessings Club Video Hop. Our awesome sponsors over at A Day For Daisies let us pick whatever digital stamp we wanted. I chose Mermaid In A Bowl.

I have been going back and forth with different mediums to use. I tried distress makers, water color pencils, water color markers, and lastly colored pencils. Well at the end I decided to give colored pencils a shot. Out of all the mediums I really felt comfortable with the pencils and it was a lot of fun. I already had a set of the Prisma color pencils so I just went and purchased a couple more colors. FUN!! It's a start but I cant wait to really learn how to use them. I have watched numerous YouTube videos and wow amazing work. So that's my card hope you enjoyed and thank you as always for stopping by.

Today's Moments

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!! I wanted to share with you my new TN layout. If you are new to TN (travelers notebook) or thinking of starting one or two of your own (I have 3 lol) this is a great way to journal and also do a little scrapbooking. Best of both worlds. I have recently joined in this TN phenomenon and I am hooked. I love that I can take it with me wherever I go. I have 1 for my daughter, 1 for my son, and a personal one for myself. I think its a wonderful way to share these special moments and even the most simplest of days.
I wanted to share this layout that I made, again the most simplest of days but definitely a day to cherish. In this layout you will see a picture I took at the train station, waiting for my daughter to arrive.

I wanted to capture this very moment because each time I pick her up my heart jumps for joy. My daughter is attending college so I don't get to see her as much as I would love to, so I wanted to share this with her so she would see how truly excited I get each and every time I pick her up.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Travelers Notebook - Sew Happy

Hi there and welcome to my first Travelers Notebook entry. (well fist one to my sons TN) I have always liked journaling in my scrapbook albums but this really caught my attention a couple months ago. It seems a bit more of a personal way for me to journal those days that I just want to capture one shot and journal about it. This is an example, my son just started his Consumer Arts program and they are teaching them to sew. One day he noticed a hole in his pants and he wanted to sew them up (so cute) and then the following week he asked if I would teach him to sew on my sewing machine. Its simple moments I want to remember and journal.

I love how everyone has their own way of using their TN. There is no right or wrong way to use it. I personally like using it as a mini scrapbook album I guess you can say. I will add some journaling to it and that will be it. Simple and fun. Also a good way to use up those scraps you have saved up.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you visit again.

Welcome!

Hi there! My name is Cristina and welcome to my new blog. I am so happy you stopped by. Just a little bit about me and the purpose of my blog. Where do I start, let's see I am a mother of two awesome kids. I have a daughter in College and a son in Junior High, I have an amazing husband of 20 years who has supported me through all my crafts, and we have a zoo (3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 lizards, 1 snake, and 1 fish). I have been crafting since I was 15, my current crafts are Project Life, Travelers Notebook Journaling, sewing, and crocheting. I am a huge baseball fan "Go GIANTS"
So lets talk about my blog, I really wanted to create a blog where I can share my day to day life as a busy working mom looking for time to be creative, a moment to reflect about everything in life whether it be about crafts or life in general. I want to be able to reach out to other moms to either bring out their creative skills, to teach new skills, or just to have fun.
The goal of my blog is to blog as much as I can. I wont blog everyday but I will stop by a couple times a month. The reason for that is I want to enjoy my time blogging and creating and not let it become a job or chore. This should be a fun and relaxing time. I am more than sure others could relate, so welcome and I hope you join me in my journey of life and creating.
